Nigerian dancer Korra Obidi, who resides in the United States, has obtained a permanent restraining order against her husband, Justin Dean.
Korra’s sister Nancy disclosed the news on Wednesday via an Instagram post, stating that the ruling was approved following an extensive court struggle.
Obidi and Dean’s marriage reportedly ended in divorce in 2022 due to accusations of infidelity, according to Bmmblog.
In a court order dated January 19, 2022, Korra and her ex-husband Justin Dean were also prohibited from posting images and videos of their children, June and Athena Dean, online.
Korra expressed outrage on social media in June 2023 after anonymous users accused her of abusing her children and reported her to Child Protective Services, or CPS.
In the Instagram post, Nancy went into depth about claims that Justin and a friend had harassed, exploited, and defamed her by sharing private photos of their kids.
“Dear family on Instagram. How are things going for you? I want to share this because I’m too excited to keep it to myself. I have never brought anything up here.
“My sister, @korraobidi, was able to get a permanent restraining order against her stalker on Facebook today. For more than two years, this stalker threatened, tormented, and defamed her on Facebook.
“It gets worse—this stalker made friends with my sister’s ex-partner. She took photos and films of my sister’s kids in their father’s toilet while she was at his house, after he asked her over.
In exchange for money, he allowed this stalker to distribute the images and videos to a group of bigots.
“My sister has fought for her right to be involved in her children’s lives for about $200,000 so far. The first of several hearings was held today. In an attempt to regain her right to motherhood, she has sued him in court. We’re glad things are off to a terrific start. She can no longer be bullied online by the stalker, nor can he approach her or her kids within 100 yards.
“I give God praise for my sister. Not many individuals are as fortunate as she was to escape. She will now battle for her whole freedom.
