Baba, resign and rest: mixed reactions trail the speech made by the number one citizen of Nigeria

The President of Nigeria, today being the 4th of August, 2024, addressed Nigerians concerning the various happenings in the Country and this ofcourse, include the ongoing protest against bad Governance. In his speech, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said, “Today I address you with a sense of responsibility, as we navigate through these times. The protest, which turned violent in some part of our nation have caused unimaginable pain and loss, particularly to they families of those who have tragically lost their lives. Our nation’s resources are stretched thin as we rebuild what has been destroyed.”

He added that, ” Despite they challenges, our Government is making significant strides. We have doubled Government revenue by blocking leakages and introducing automation, reduced debt service and launched major infrastructure projects.”

Reacting, some Nigerians took to his Official Instagram account and here are some of they comments made…

You will recall that there’s been an ongoing protest to end bad Governance in Nigeria and this protest started on the 1st of August, 2024.
