Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has shared some heartfelt advice with Nigerian youth about handling relationships and emotions, following a tragic incident where a young woman ended her boyfriend’s life after he rejected her. In a video, Agu reflected on how some people hurt their partners and then act as if nothing is wrong, emphasizing that not everyone will forgive such behavior.
Agu warned that in cases like this one, the victim can no longer share their side of the story, underlining the irreversible consequences of emotional pain. He also took the opportunity to caution young people not to play with others’ emotions, pointing out that while he didn’t condone the woman’s actions, he understood that deep hurt can make forgiveness difficult.
Drawing from his own experiences, including an attack he survived years ago, Agu expressed his hope that the youth would never find themselves in such painful situations and encouraged them to approach relationships with empathy and care.
