Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has been labelled a habitual complainer by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Felix Morka, the national publicity secretary for the APC, stated that Obi will never accept the outcome of an election that does not suit him or his candidates.
In an interview with Arise TV, Morka emphasised that Obi’s viewpoint on the Edo State gubernatorial race was unimportant.
Morka claims: “Peter Obi is a chronic complainer who refuses to accept the outcome of any election that does not benefit him or the candidates he backs.
“Obi has always denied that election since the 2023 election. Denying Edo State’s election is his latest pet project.
His opinions on the Edo election are utterly unimportant.
“I believe that Akpata and Ighodalo have a right to be involved in that election, and if they are not satisfied, they ought to take the necessary steps, which include going to court and proving the accusations that they are currently facing. They are disseminating unverified rumours.
“I haven’t heard any of them provide any supporting documentation for the grandiose claims they make. When you go to court, you have to present reasonable evidence to back up your claim that you should have won the election, not just the headlines.
With 22,763 votes, Olumide Akpata, the LP’s candidate for governor, defeated Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 291,667 votes, and Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who received 247,274 votes, to win the election.
