“I began singing even before I learned to talk,” says Oxlade.

Nigerian singer Ikuforiji Olaitan Abdulrahman, better known as Oxlade, has revealed that he began singing even before he could speak.

During a recent episode of the ’90s Babies’ podcast, Oxlade shared that his parents had told him this. He explained that as a child, he was able to sing before he could form words properly.

“I was singing before I could talk. My parents said I started singing before I learned to speak,” he explained.

He added, “I could sing faster than I could pick up speech. That’s what my parents told me. I believe that’s where my talent began.”
