“I don’t eat swallow” – Singer Flavour explains how he stays fit

Chinedu Okoye, popularly known as Flavour, a renowned Nigerian musician, has shared insights into his disciplined approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Flavour explained that his fitness and physique result from conscious eating habits and a dedicated exercise routine.

Speaking on Tuesday during the debut podcast hosted by former Aviation Minister Osita Chidoka, the Obodo crooner revealed that he skips breakfast entirely. Despite his Igbo heritage, he avoids traditional “swallow” dishes and limits his carbohydrate intake. Instead, his mornings begin with herbal tea, and his sole daily meal is at around 5 p.m.

The N’abania singer also disclosed that he works out for two hours every day to keep himself in top physical shape, emphasizing that health and fitness require consistency and determination.

“Nwanne, it is tough, but I will try. First, I don’t eat in the morning; I drink herbal tea and eat at about 5 pm. Second, I don’t eat swallow; I consume minimal carbs. Third, I work out 2 hours a day,” he said.

When Chidoka asked if his diet, including drinking herbal tea in the morning, did not expose him to Ulcer, Flavour replied that his herbal tea is homemade.

He also said that he adds seasonings to his herbal tea to prevent Ulcers.

“My homemade herbal tea takes care of that; I add condiments that keep ulcers away,” he answered.
