The previous winner of Big Brother Naija recently used his Instagram Live platform to update fans on his music career, which has included an extensive tour across eight states in the United States.
A segment from this Instagram Live session, where White Money shared his thoughts on Shallipopi’s artistic abilities, has garnered significant attention online.
In the video, White Money, whose real name is Hazel Oyeye Onou, noted that Shallipopi’s success as a hitmaker is not solely due to his vocal talent, but rather the charisma he brings, which captivates his audience.
“Like Shallipopi, he doesn’t have a wonderful voice but once he holds that mic and says “Plutomanians”…It’s just the swag. Do you think it’s by voice? It’s not by voice,” White Money stated, emphasizing that Shallipopi’s success is largely influenced by his personality.
White Money also mentioned that he has just returned from the United States, where he performed in eight different states. He believes this experience has provided him with greater musical exposure compared to Shallipopi, thereby placing him in a position to offer guidance to the rapper.
“I am in a good position to advise him because I am more exposed musically, entertainment-wise so I can advise him, and he too can advise me. It’s vice versa,” White Money explained, while also noting that his social media followers are not adequately equipped to offer him guidance on musical matters.
