Afrobeats artist Tiwa Savage has emphasized that poverty plays a significant role in the rising number of entertainers emerging from Nigeria.
She explained that the tough conditions in the country are driving young people to explore and harness their creative talents.
Speaking on the Shopping The Sneakers podcast, Savage highlighted the considerable challenges of life in Nigeria and how they inspire resilience and innovation.
She said, “When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars. To survive in Nigeria is something else so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”

Nollywood is the second largest movie industry in the world.
