Nigerian socialite and businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chiefpriest, found himself at the center of online discussions after a customer expressed dissatisfaction with the room prices at his hotel in Owerri.
The issue was raised by a social media user, Obinna Chikodi, who shared a photo of the hotel’s room rates on X (formerly Twitter). According to the post, the cheapest room at Cubana Chiefpriest’s hotel costs ₦150,000 per night, while the most expensive is priced at ₦300,000 per night. Chikodi voiced his displeasure, comparing the room rates with his overall experience, which sparked a mix of reactions from online users. Some agreed with the complaint, while others defended the high-end nature of the establishment, leading to a viral conversation around the pricing.
In his view, the price was too high for a small room lacking a jacuzzi. In his words:
“I say make I book reservation for Cubana Chiefpriest hotel, omo the price fear me. For room wey no big or even get jacuzzi/bathtub.”
