Popular content creator Ogunleye Babatunde Olamide, alias Oluwadolarz, has stated that content creation demands talent and passion rather than a desire for financial gain.
Oluwadolarz told Bmmblog that, while the skit-making industry might be lucrative, it also demands passion and can be frustrating at times.
âI believe that many people are getting into content creation because they see the vehicles and houses we publish and believe they, too, can make money. However, skit creating requires passion and talent because it can be frustrating. If youâre not passionate about it, youâll get bored. Iâve seen someone enter skit-making because he wanted to buy a Mercedes. âYou have to be truly loved, and that takes a lot of effort,â said Oluwadolarz.
Speaking about the rise of the content creation sector, he stated, âI am pleased to see that the industry has progressed significantly. We no longer distribute leaflets inviting people to watch our skits. People werenât sure what skit-making was. Iâm talking about 2010, 2011, and 2012. Everyone now understands, and some individuals actually want to watch skits. People donât watch TV anymore. People increasingly go online to see skits. I am pleased that the sector has expanded, and I am pleased that new talent has emerged in the field.
