The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has posted 94.13 percent of the results from the Ondo State Governorship election on its result viewing portal.
As of 7:56 p.m. on Saturday, the election day, 3,702 polling units’ results had been uploaded and made available online.
Earlier, Oluwatoyin Babalola, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ondo State, told reporters that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) achieved a 97% success rate in the current election.
She revealed this while observing the election at various polling stations in Akure, Ondo State’s capital.
She was accompanied by Kenneth Onyeakwu, the National Commissioner of INEC, and Oladipo Abayomi, the Commissioner of Police in Ondo State.
According to Babalola, the election has gone smoothly, with polls opening early and an amazing voter participation.
She also expressed confidence that the election would be conducted without incident.
