Chief Olusola Oke of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State believes Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa would win the state’s governorship election.
Oke, a former APC governorship candidate, spoke with reporters on Saturday shortly after voting at Unit 005, Ilowo, Ward 003 in Ilaje LGA.
He expressed hope that Aiyedatiwa will win the current election, pointing out that the opposing parties were too weak to win.
Oke stated that the election was calm, citing the conduct of qualified voters who exercised their rights without fear or intimidation.
“Elections are calm everywhere. You can appreciate the people’s excitement in coming over and voting despite the challenging topography created by the waterside location.
“It has been a long time coming.
“The APC’s governorship candidate will win the election because he is highly visible. Because the broom has swung cleanly in our path of triumph.
“There is no genuine opposition in the state, and the governor comes from a community that has long yearned for competent leadership.
“We will deliver votes for him. “I can assure you that the governor will win cleanly,” he stated.
Oke, on the other hand, urged the people to maintain the state’s existing condition of tranquility, claiming that the election was proceeding peacefully.
