Some Nigerian youths stormed Lagos Island on Monday, July 29th, to agitate against the upcoming nationwide demonstration on August 1st.
A video making the rounds online shows the moment the youths grabbed center stage on the street with a bright poster stating ‘Say No to Protest’.
It is no longer news that some Nigerians planned to protest the country’s ongoing economic misery under the hashtag #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria.
The demonstration, which has gained support online, is set to take place in all states of the federation, as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, beginning from August 1.
However, young people from various regions gathered in the Lagos Island area to show their support for Tinubu’s administration, urging other young people to “shun violent protests”.
