A movie directed by Okechukwu Oku( Black rose). Oku is a well known Nigerian director who is known for keeping his films simple yet impactful.
The movie tells a story of Ebere, a new mother who is struggling to raise her baby with little or no assistance when her husband, Ozo has to leave for days due to work.
Her husband had to insist on Ebere reaching out to her Mother as her relationship with her is not so perfect but he (her husband) sees this gesture as an opportunity for her to cement her relationship with her Mother, Abigail and repair their stained relationship.
Strained pushes boundaries by challenging traditional stereotypes and highlights the role of the husband in caring for their baby.
