Travis Scott, an American rapper, was detained in Paris after getting into a physical argument with his bodyguard and a security guard at the posh George V hotel.
According to authorities, officers were called to the location at 5 a.m. to break up the fight, and Scott was then arrested for “violence against another person.”
The event happened on Friday, only hours after Scott watched the men’s basketball semi-final game between the United States and Serbia at the 2024 Olympics.
A representative for the Paris prosecutor’s office stated that an inquiry has been launched into the incident, and that Scott was arrested for “violence against a security guard” who sought to assist in the altercation between Scott and his bodyguard.
The Paris prosecutor’s office stated in a statement that police were sent to the Georges V hotel and detained Travis Scott for aggression against a security agent. The latter had interfered to separate the singer from his bodyguard.
