The veteran Nigerian actor Emmanuel France has died.
Femi Ogedengbe, a popular filmmaker, reported his death on his Instagram page on Monday.
Ogedengbe expressed regret at his death and recalled their happy memories together.
He wrote, “Rest in peace, one of Nollywood’s icons, Uncle Emmanuel France. One of the actors I brought to Tanzania in 2006. We made three films together: She Is My Sister, The Director, and Cross My Sin, R.I.P.”
As of the time of this article, the cause of his death has not been disclosed.
According to the DAILY POST, France died barely a few hours after Nollywood actor Big Larry passed away.
Nollywood has lost scores of practitioners since January 2024, including Mr. Ibu, Junior Pope, Sisi Quadri, Ganiyu ‘Ogunjimi’ Oyeyemi, and Amaechi Muonagor, among others.
