“Wizkid motivated me, and I was excited to work with him.” – Asake

Afrobeats musician Ahmed Ololade, better known by his stage as Asake, has disclosed that one of his musical influences is Wizkid, his Grammy-winning teammate.

He revealed this while he was enjoying working on the recently released third studio album, “Lungu Boy,” with the “Ojuelegba” crooner.

While their joint single, “MMS,” was being released on digital streaming platforms, Asake mentioned that he had been looking forward to working with Wizkid.

“It’s no secret that one of my musical inspirations is Wizkid,” he wrote. I was a young, ambitious musician in Lagos, and when the chance presented itself, it was an obvious choice. I had been waiting for the ideal tune.

“Mr Money Sound,” or “MMS,” is an acronym that describes my musical journey.
