Nigerian singer Yemi Alade, a Grammy-nominated artist widely recognized for her hit song âJohnny,â has alleged that media entities Clout Africa and Cool FM have blacklisted her music due to her absence from one of their events.
In a series of tweets shared on X (formerly Twitter), Yemi claimed her songs have been excluded from the platforms for over a year following her decision to miss the event. Despite her efforts to reconcile by sending apologies via calls and texts, she said her attempts were ignored.
Yemi expressed her frustration, suggesting that the entities were being excessively punitive and unprofessional over the issue. She criticized their leadership for the lack of communication and resolution.
Her allegations have sparked conversations among fans and music industry observers, with many questioning the ethics of such actions if proven true. Yemi Alade remains one of Nigeriaâs celebrated international artists, making these claims particularly notable.
She wrote:
