I have never had sex, claims pastor Ebuka Obi.

Ebuka Obi, the founder of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach (ZPMO), has revealed that he has “never had sexual intercourse.”

In a recent interview with BBC Igbo, the Imo-born cleric shared that 12 years ago, he made a vow to God to remain celibate until marriage. He explained that his decision to maintain celibacy stems from his desire to hear God’s voice more clearly.

“I have never dated before. I have never had sexual intercourse with any woman. Any woman who says I’ve had sexual relations with her should speak up,” he stated.

Obi also mentioned that his delay in marriage is not due to the qualities in a woman, but rather his need for divine guidance. Despite praying for 100 days last year seeking God’s direction on marriage, he has not received any sign.

In the interview, Obi further discussed his background, revealing that he left his electronic trading business in 2009 to start the Zion Ministry. He also defended his prophetic calling, attributing his prophecies to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, despite never attending theology school. Obi began his prophetic practice at the age of eight.

The evangelist, singer, author, teacher, and prophet is born into a staunch Roman Catholic family and is a twin. He established ZPMO in 2009, a non-denominational ministry headquartered in Lagos.
