Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has responded to his brother, Linc Edochie, and others who criticized him for publicizing his marriage. This comes after Linc discussed Yul’s approach to openly sharing details of his second marriage during a recent interview with Kanayo O. Kanayo. Linc mentioned that while Yul is entitled to his choices, their father, veteran actor Pete Edochie, had advised him against making his marital affairs so public.
In response, Yul defended his decision to share his personal life online, addressing critics who advised him to keep his marriage private. He remarked on the irony of some critics whose own marriages had failed despite being kept away from the public eye. Yul emphasized that whether a marriage is successful has little to do with how public or private it is, stating that he is comfortable with his choice to be open on social media.
Yul wrote …
“Ndi keep your marriage off social media, Kwenu! Ndi ala. You wey hid your marriage inside the house, you no still divorce? Your wife no leave you? Psychos. everybody na advice for social media. Your own life go dey scatter, you no fit fix am but you sabi advise other people.
“If I post my wife one million times on my page, how e take concern you? Na you buy me data Abi na your wife I post? Idiots. The one Wey dey sweet una na to wear black gather for person burial. One minute silence.
“The person go turn hero. But when the person is alive, being happy, his happiness goes dey pain una. Thunder fire una. If my post dey offend you, hug transformer.”
